Over the past 8 years DDA Performing Arts has provided training in dance and musical theatre. Our aim is to offer a wide variety of dance disciplines within a fun and caring environment for every child, regardless of their ability. DDA provides individual attention to all students, matching the requirements of each child.
We hold annually performances and run regular ISTD sessions enabling the pupils a chance to showcase their achievements. All classes are taught by teachers holding full teacher qualifications and meet all health and safety requirements.

Rachel attended Deborah Day Theatre School Trust as a child from the age of 3 to 19. After leaving school with 10 A-C GCSE’s including dance and drama she continued to dance at DDTST while attending Havering College; gaining a BTEC National Diploma in Dance, HNC and HND in Dance. Continuing with her education Rachel went to Bucks New University to gain her top up Degree in Musical Theatre. Rachel then went on to study at The Centre of Performing Arts College to gain her ISTD teaching qualifications in Modern and Tap.
In 2009 she began teaching Tap, Modern and Ballet at DDTST. In September 2011 Rachel graduated from The Centre of Performing Arts College, continuing to teach at DDTST, she also began teaching and choreographing at two other theatre schools, the first involved teaching Musical Theatre, Advanced Jazz, Beginners Street Dance and choreographing the show work. Rachel has also undertaken PPA teaching dance and drama to year 3 to year 6 pupils whilst at this company. She also choreographed the Christmas infant and junior plays at Castilion Primary School in Thamesmead. The second included teaching Modern, Tap, RAD Ballet and choreographing show work for Variations Dance Studio.
In April 2013 Rachel went on to teach Ballet, Tap and Street Dance at Diverse Dance Academy in Eltham. In October 2013 she began working for Progressive Sports, a company that teaches dance PPA lessons. She teaches PE Dance to all ages groups from Nursery to year 6 children.
Having taught at DDA Performing Arts for a year Rachel went on to become the principal in April 2014. She continues to go on courses to stay up to date with the Istd Syllabus, and also teaches Street, Acrobatics and Musical Theatre. The school has continued to grow under her management and she is continuing to thrive in the teaching world, enjoying every minute of her career.
Cathy trained at Laine Theatre Arts and Educational School, Tring before pursuing a career teaching classical ballet, modern, tap and national dance full-time in dance studios and vocational dance colleges. She also has extensive experience teaching creative dance in schools and directing and choreographing musical theatre productions in the community. Cathy is currently studying at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance for a Level 6 Diploma in Dance Teaching and Learning and is passionate about enabling people of all abilities to reach their potential through a love of dance.
Bethan began dancing at the age of 5 at The Deborah Day Theatre School Trust in East London. During her time there she competed in numerous competitions, and took part in variety shows and musicals. She took examinations in Tap, Ballet and Modern reaching up to Intermediate, and Advanced levels 1 and 2. She then went onto study Media at Brunel University, graduating in 2012.
Since completing her degree, Bethan then went on to study for her teaching qualifications. She has completed her DDE in Modern Theatre, and DDI in Tap. She is now currently studying to complete her DDE Tap.
